Bo Y is one of the least populous groups of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. They live mainly in some mountainous, border provinces of North Vietnam, with the largest concentration being about 700 people in Nam Luong village , Quyet Tien Commune, Quan Ba District. Here they still retain their traditional and unique cultural identities, such as the "family patriarchy", wedding customs, daily habits, including the way of living and speeking, costumes, folk songs, festivals and rituals such as New Year festival, funeral ritual etc. To preserve the traditional, tangible and intangible cultural values of Bo Y people, developing Nam Luong into a typical cultural and tourist village in the Dong Van UNESCO Global Geopark, the Bo Y community cultural house was built in 2015, keeping the traditional architecture with 5 rooms, each 3.6m wide, span 6m long, veranda 1.8m wide, earth compacted walls, yin and yang roof tile etc. The Bo Y community cultural house in Nam Luong is a common place for people to gather and perform traditional arts and crafts.
